What is the Audrey Hepburn box DVD set you have called? I looked online for some but none of them have all the movies that yours has.
I believe it’s called Couture Muse Collection. I looked it up and the ones I found on international sites (Amazon.com etc) have all the seven dvds. The thing is, mine actually has an 8th bonus dvd with special features such as documentaries and interviews, so it might be a special edition.
No question about, it has to be the timeless, elegant, simple yet sophisticated little black dress
You really can’t go wrong with this one - black is appropriate for almost any event and everything goes with a black dress. I ordered one myself a few months back (not an exact replica, though - mine is a little more open in the cleavage and a little shorter) when I was going to a Hollywood themed party as none other than the darling Holly Golighty. My outfit was a success, thanks to the elegance of this little black number (and a suprisingly large number of people recognized me as Holly ! Maybe our generation isn’t a lost cause after all!) and I’ve worn it to a great deal of parties afterwards with similar success.
I have to admit that I still haven’t seen all of Audrey’s movies, not really even a majority of them. It’s my goal to see them all one day but honestly I’m a bit scared of watching them all because, well, then there won’t be any more left (unless I watch them again, as my mother suggested)! But here is my top 3 of the ones I have seen:
1. Roman Holiday - Rome, by all means, Rome. Such a sweet story and isn’t young Audrey Hepburn as Princess Ann just the cutest thing you ever saw?
2. Charade - There is just no match for Audrey’s and Cary Grant’s chemistry and witty dialogue !
3. Wait Until Dark - Audrey shows diversity once more in this thriller that I actually got to see in an old movie theater here in Helsinki. Alan Arkin is great as the baddie, not to mention one of the most terrifying movie finales of all time!
